Star Trek 102: An introduction to major Star Trek planets 50 years of Star Trek, and we continue our best efforts to educate those aspiring Trekkies about the franchise as much as possible. You cannot be a Trekkie without knowing the important places in the Star Trek universe. So here is our top list, you better learn it by heart. 1/6 Romulus Romulus is one of the two planets that are part of the Romulan Empire, who are characterized as passionate, cunning, and opportunistic — in every way the opposite of the logical and "cold" Vulcans. Romulus and Remus, the other planet, orbit the same central star. The Romulus is governed by the Romulan government which resembles the ancient Roman Republic, as it consists: the main governing and legislative body in a large chamber on Romulus. 2/6 Vulcan Vulcans occupy originated and occupy the planet Vulcan, who are notable for their effort to live by logic and reason, with as little interference from emotion as possible. The planet Vulcan orbit around the star 40 Eridani A, 16 light years from Earth. It is a reddish Minshara- Class planet, with most of its surface consisting of deserts and mountain ranges. It is much hotter and has an atmosphere thinner than that of Earth. 3/6 Qo'noS Qronos or Kronos is the planet in which the ruthless and brutal Klingons live. It has been said that the Qronos is said to be in the Omega Leonis Star System, and it is depicted as green when viewed from space. It includes a lone huge land mass with a vast ocean, a severely tilted axis that causes wild seasonal changes, a turbulent atmosphere and extremes of both warm and frigid weather 4/6 Delta Quadrant Delta Quadrant is one of the galactic quadrants in an area of the Milky Way Galaxy, which was first mentioned in the Star Trek: Voyager. The Delta Quadrant hosts a variety of inhabitants including the Borg Collective, the Kazon, the Vidiians, the Talaxians, the Ocampa, the Hirogen, the Malon, the Devore, and the Ankari. 5/6 Risa Risa is an M-class planet located in a binary star system with two moons, often known as the "pleasure planet". It is home to the Risians, and a member of the Federation. Risa, located about 90 light years from Earth, is renowned for its breezes and easy-going, uninhibited sexuality that play host to millions each year. 6/6 Andoria Andoria is an icy Class M moon which orbits a blue, ringed gas giant. Android or Andor is home to humanoid Andorians, which have blue skin, a pair of cranial antennae, and white hair. Most of its cities are built underground to take advantage of the geothermal warmth.
