Motorola has finally unveiled the successor to the Moto G4 Plus — the Moto G5 Plus, in the Indian market and believe you me, there's a lot to excited about as far as affordable smartphones are concerned. Compared to the G4 Plus, it is quite the update featuring revamped looks and better hardware specifications. Here are the five things that excite us about the Moto G5 Plus.

1. Better ergonomics

The Moto G5 Plus sports a smaller 5.2-inch display, as opposed to a 5.5-inch panel on the G4 Plus. This results in a handier design. The device is just 7.7mm thin and weighs a little around 155g, which makes for an ergonomically pleasing smartphone, that's easily pocketable too.

2. Sharper display

The Moto G5 Plus sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display sporting a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels with a pixel density of 423 pixels per inch. The Moto G4 Plus had a larger 5.5-inch panel with a similar resolution, however, sporting a lower pixel density of 401 pixels per inch, making the display on the G5 sharper and more detailed. But more than this, the overall quality of the screen has been improved which is what matters at the end of the day.

3. Premium build

Going on the lines of the recently unveiled Moto M, the Moto G5 Plus gets an all-aluminium unibody chassis, as opposed to G4's polycarbonate shell, giving a more premium aesthetic appeal. It also means it is sturdier less susceptible to dings and scratches and water resistance makes a return. Boom!

4. Punchier hardware

The device has also received noteworthy upgrades in term of hardware. Moto G5 Plus is rocking Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 chipset which is not only more powerful than the Snapdragon 617 found on the G4 Plus, but also more powerful efficient. We've already witnessed that this chipset is powerful and super efficient on phones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo’s own P2.

5. Snappier camera

Motorola has loaded the G5 Plus with an all-new 12-megapixel shooter at the back with a larger f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel shooter at the front. The rear camera also gets Dual Pixel AF for faster focussing and the larger aperture helps in better low-light performance. This is essentially the same hardware we saw in the Galaxy S7 so one can expect a mean mean camera.
