Ahead of the much-talked about Delhi Auto Expo 2016, Ford has lifted the curtains off its iconic Mustang for car enthusiast in India. This iconic pony car will hit Indian showrooms in the second quarter of this year.
Nigel Harris, president, Ford India, said, "The new Mustang is a modern interpretation of the American icon, and we are thrilled to be giving our customers in India the opportunity to experience this piece of automotive history for the first time."
Ever since the Mustang first went on sale in 1964, this automobile company has sold more than 9 million vehicles cross the globe. This legendary muscle car has not only made thousands of appearances in film, television, music and video games, but is also gained the title of the world's most-liked vehicle on Facebook.
Harris further claimed that "With advanced new technology, an iconic design, and world-class power, it truly sets a new standard."
While the global model of Ford Mustang comes with multiple engine options, the version that will be available in India been made available with a 5.0-litre V8 gasoline engine.
With the increased width and a new rear suspension, the new Ford Mustang may provide an improved shoulder and hip room for rear-seat passengers.
It also carries SYNC connectivity system that allows drivers to control their in-car entertainment via voice commands, keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, navigation, push button start, passive entry, power folding mirrors, and a rear camera to enhance the driving experience.
