Domestic handset maker Karbonn
has now launched the K9 Smart handset in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 3,990. This smartphone provides users the option to navigate the device in upto 12 Indian languages and the flexibility to choose from 21 Indian languages for typing input.
As per IAMAI
, the local language user base grew 47% and touched 127 million in June and this gap is what Karbonn aims to bridge with this launch. According to Shashin Devsare, executive director, Karbonn Mobiles
, “With K9 Smart launch we aim to bridge this divide by offering Indian users an affordable Smartphone device which offers access in their native language for ease of use thereby encouraging adoption.”
As far as specifications are concerned, Karbonn K9 Smart
carries 12.4 cm (5'') screen, 1.2 GHz quad core processor and a 2300mAh Li-ion battery, which the company claims, “has the energy to last all day while travelling, listening to music or surfing on Internet.” On the storage front, the smartphone is packed with an internal memory of 8GB that can be expanded by upto 32 GB via a memory card.
Moving on to camera, Karbonn K9 Smart comprises of a 3.2MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front shooter. Besides this, the dual-SIM smartphone supports faster 3G connectivity.
