The problem of the language barrier is soon going to be a thing of the past, with this new in-ear translator which will make the idea of global village a tangible reality.

The developer, Waverly Labs claims that the headset fits into the ear and translates conversations in real time, using a "translation technology" embedded in an app.

Named "Pilot", the device is a convergence between wearable tech and machine translation. It also comes with an additional earpiece to stream music wirelessly and an accompanying app to toggle between languages.

The New-York based company supports European languages as of now, but Slavic, Semitic, Hindi and East Asian languages are on the cards next.

The device works offline and overseas, making it one of the most essential companion gadgets when travelling overseas.

The device is currently under a crowdfunding campaign, with the release slated to be sometime next year. The expected prices is around $410(Rs.27,300 approximately).
