According to TVLine , Warner Bros. looking to recreate Orbit City and introduce today’s world to The Jetsons in a somewhat modern way.

We promise you that we’re in our orbit, but it seems our beloved Jetson family would arrive as a Live-Action sitcom series living in the futuristic utopian Orbit City.

The Jetsons is an animated sitcom that started airing from 1962 and was a creative parallel to The Flintstones. The series focuses on Jetsons family residing in a futuristic city called Orbit City where every architecture has risen above the ground. George Jetson along with his wife Jane, kids Judy and Elroy, a robot maid Rosie and a dog Astro. The series revolves around the daily life of The Jetsons around the backdrop of advanced gadgets and devices which are often at fault and the chaos that ensues.

TVLine has sources confirming that Warner Bros. has hired Gary Janetti (Family Guy) to construct the series. The studio has also brought in Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future) and Jack Rapke along with Janetti would serve as the show's EPs.

Nickleby Inc. along with Compari Entertainment is also onboard to produce the potential Jetsons series in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television.

Warner Bros. had been trying to make a Jetsons movie from a long time now after Universal released a Jetsons movie back in 1990. The film was then directed by Joseph Barbera who was also the co-founder of the Hanna-Barbera company, the original creators of The Jetsons.
