The 9.7-inch Retina Display packs over 3.1 million pixels resulting in crystal clear photos and videos and is housed inside a sturdy and thin aluminium unibody weighing just one pound.

The in-house designed A9 chip features desktop-class architecture and delivers faster processing and better graphics alongside maintaining the same all-day battery life that all iPads claim to have.

The new iPad also comes with TouchID and iOS 10 as a result of which, it offers richer and more animated ways of communicating in iMessage, provide new ways to use Siri, offer multitasking features like split-screen, picture-in-picture mode and slide over.

Apple stated in a press statement that the new iPad will be available for pre-order from Friday, March 24 and will start shipping from next week in Apple Stores and through select carriers and Apple Authorised Resellers in the US and 20 other countries.Authorised Resellers in the US and 20 other countries.

The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (RED) offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers' hands."
