HTC is gearing up for a launch tomorrow
and it’s all but confirmed that the Taiwanese company is going to launch a brand-new line-up of phones. The “U” series will add three new phones to it’s smartphone line-up.
The U Ultra
is the flagship of the new line which is expected to feature a six-inch display with a 1440p screen resolution, it’s also rumoured to be one of the first phones to run the brand-new Snapdragon 835 Processor, which is likely to be paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone is tipped to have 64GB of Storage along with a dual camera setup at the rear, which is likely to have a 13Megapixel module paired with a 24 Megapixel one. On the front, there is likely to be a 16 Megapixel camera and the Ultra may ship with a 4000 mAh battery. One unique USP of the device per leaked images that have appeared online is that it may have an LG
V20 like Second Screen setup, i.e. a small display above the main display, which will act as a notification HUB of sorts.
The Second phone in the line-up, U-Play is the tipped to be the mid-range offering. It will likely be powered by a MediaTek
Helio P10 processor which may be paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The phone may have a 16 Megapixel camera on the back and front. The phone may also have a five-point two-inch screen on the front. The U Play will likely ship with a 2500 mAh battery. Both phones may have a fingerprint scanner but may come without a headphone jack, which may disappoint some.
Besides these two phones, HTC
may also launch the X10, expected to cost less than the U play but with similar hardware. It will run on the same P10 processor as the U Play paired with 3GB of RAM and may have five point five-inch screen on the front.
