IRCTC To replace old "Connect" app with new "Rail Connect" app

The app also boasts a self-assigned PIN system, which makes the process of logging into the service easier. The app has also been synchronised with the IRCTC website to make ticket booking easier. Users will be able to search and book train tickets via the app, the service also accepts payments from e-wallets such as Paytm and Mobiwik.
The app will also feature Upcoming journey alerts and the option to view and cancel train bookings directly from the app.
Per the ministry, they may also explore the advertising potential of the app to generate extra revenue, they are also looking at potential tie-ups with utility companies such as hotels and cab services like
