Jim Cathey went on to say that “Larry has a long history in the wireless industry and experience in building cellular phones and running large businesses, all of which will be instrumental in his new role. He will provide leadership and drive business growth for Qualcomm in the region, and will oversee the sales and business organization in India with responsibility for all QCT and QTL go-to-market activities.”
Before being appointed as the CEO of Qualcomm India, Larry Paulson has joind the company in 2013 as the as vice president of product management for Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD). Paulson backs more than twenty years of experience in strategy, R&D, customer development, product marketing and technology creation.
Palson also headed the semiconductor business (QCT) and also expanded to Qualcomm Reference Design from low tire to a new category of virtual reality. Under Paulsons management, the team also established Qualcomm’s Global Pass program, is successfully running in countries like Latin America, North America, Europe, India and South East Asia.
Before joining Qualcomm, Larry Paulson used to work at BrightPoint, as the executive vice president and chief marketing officer and prior to that he also held quiet a few positions at Nokia and was the global senior vice president and general manager of Nokia’s worldwide CDMA device business. Before that, he also worked as the senior vice president of North America Business Development and president of Technophone, which was a subsidiary of Nokia, back then.
