LG G6+ features an upgraded RAM of 6GB and an internal storage of 128GB. The G6+ will support Quad DAC globally unlike the current variant of the G6. In fact, LG is also bundling earphones from B&O PLAY that will make use of the Quad DAC to its fullest. Additionally, new enhancements in the form of Face Print, Low Power Consumption and Covered Lens warning are also being introduced to LG’s G6 lineup.

Face Print is LG’s version of face unlock option which uses facial recognition technology to unlock the smartphone. On lifting the phone up to you face, the phone will get unlocked without the need to press any buttons. Interestingly, the LG G6 will identify when a user puts the phone in front of his face and will then activate the camera.

Low Power Consumption is a part of Qualcomm’s DSP architecture that’s integrated into the processor which collect data from sensors and wireless connections to enhance the user’s experience and applications on less battery power and reducing latency.

Covered Lens warning pops-up a notification whenever the user’s finger is blocking the camera lens.

Along with this, LG has also introduced two new colour variants of the LG G6 which include Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold which feature a lenticular film on the rear panel which refracts light allowing them to create an optical effect.

“LG’s G series has always been about offering innovation and technology that we believe will appeal to as many customers as possible. By expanding the G6 lineup with differentiating features and colours, consumers will have even more options to consider when shopping for a new smartphone,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
