When it launched last year, the Huawei Honor 8 was priced at Rs 29,999. At the time, it was one of the most affordable smartphones which came with flagship features and the dual-camera syndrome had just started gripping the smartphone industry. Today, the Honor 8 is retailing for as much as Rs 17,699 on Amazon India. Here’s why that makes it a great deal for you to buy the Honor 8.

At a dirt cheap price, the Honor 8 flaunts a metal chassis and an attractive glass finish on the rear. Even though the Honor 8 measures just 7.5mm, it’s built sturdily. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch full HD, Gorilla Glass 3 protected LTPS display which is just about optimal for viewing anything.

The Honor 8 sports two 12-megapixel sensors in RGB and Monochrome configuration which produce really sharp images. The twin camera setup on the back supports laser autofocus and is backed by a dual LED flash.

On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor for those selfies.

The Huawei Honor 8 rocks the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core processor and a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU which keeps things smooth without any lags. This is backed by a 4GB of RAM and internal storage of 32GB which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

The smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow under the company’s custom Emotion UI, EMUI 4.1 UI which is set to get updated to Nougat based EMUI 7 real soon.

The Honor 8 currently starts retailing at Rs 17,699 for the Sunrise Gold colour followed by Pearl White for Rs 18,790, Pink colour variant for Rs 19,190 and Sapphire Blue for Rs 19,690. In this segment, the smartphone doesn’t really have any competition considering its make and flagship status. The segment is filled with the likes of Moto G5 Plus, Nubia Z17mini along with some Oppo and Vivo smartphones which do not stand a chance against this beast of a phone.
