With the Nokia 6 garnering a whopping one million pre-orders in China , Nokia is poised for a huge comeback under the stewardship of HMD Global. But while the Nokia 6 is just a budget phone, the big reveal is reserved for MWC in February . The phone in question? The Nokia P1.

HMD Global, the company that has acquired the exclusive license to manufacture phones under the Nokia moniker has as many as 7 Nokia phones releasing this year with the prime focus on the Nokia P1. Leaks and rumours has given a pretty accurate picture of what the phone is going to look like.

According to reports, the Nokia P1 will resemble a lot like Sharp Aquos Xx3 which was launched in Japan last year. It is expected to be priced around $800 (approximately Rs 54,500) for the 128GB variant while the 256GB variant might come fo$950 (approximately Rs 64,700).

The phone could also sport the latest Qualcomm processor; the Snapdragon 835 which was announced recently at CES. It could come with a 5.3-inch panel of either full-HD or quad-HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It is expected to come with 6GB of RAM.

The phone is also tipped to run Android Nougat out of the box and sport a 22.6-megapixel Zeiss sensor on the rear.

The phone may also come with IP57 rated water resistance and a 3,500mAh battery to power it all with Quick Charge 4.0 for fast charging. A fingerprint scanner might be embedded on the right edge of the phone.

HMD has sent out invites for its event in MWC 2017 on February 26 indicating the company may release more Nokia phones. The Nokia 6 announced this month will not make its way outside China . It is slated to go for its flash sale via JD.com in China for which over 1 million people have already registered.
