We had earlier reported that a source inside OnePlus has stated the upgraded OnePlus 3T will launch in India in December. With the tweet and a lengthy, daring post on OnePlus forum, General Manager Vikas Agarwal goes on to confirm our hunches.
"Getting the OnePlus 3T to India has been a top priority for us, and we are delighted to announce that we are all set to release the OnePlus 3T in India shortly! The next big question on everyone’s mind would be the announcement of the launch date," he wrote in his post.
The OnePlus GM will put himself up for a round of 'Truth or Dare' on Twitter, at the end of which, he will officially announce the release date.
OnePlus will also hold a Facebook 'Truth or Dare' poll today, where OnePlus loyalists will get to choose how OnePlus should reveal the launch date for the OnePlus 3T.
OnePlus 3 remains to be one of the highest rated smartphones on Amazon India, where OnePlus exclusively sells its products. And while the launch of the upgrade may excite many folks in the country, a lot many will be left pissed knowing that their newly bought OnePlus 3 will now be rendered obsolete after the launch of the OnePlus 3T.
The OnePlus 3T launched in China last week with an upgraded Snapdragon 821 processor, the same one found in the Google Pixel phones. It also offers a bigger battery over the OnePlus 3, at 3,400mAh along with a bumped internal storage at 128GB.
