Is the Moto Z2 Force incoming? A press invite Moto has sent to publications seemingly wants us to “get ready to shatter your expectations”. Shatter is the keyword here because Moto’s “Force” range of phones sport the proprietary ShatterShield display which pretty much makes the display of the phone unbreakable. The event is scheduled at the end of this month, on July 25th in New York at 11:00 EST. The artwork of the invite shows shattered glass, giving yet another indication to the grizzly build of the phone. The phone will succeed 2016’s Moto Z Force Droid.

Moto will also likely make improvements to the ShatterShield technology. The ShatterShield display is made up of five layers which are designed to absorb shock when dropped. The display was indeed tough to crack but also made the AMOLED screen underneath lose its sheen because of the multiple layers. It is likely that the quality of the display will improve in the Moto Z2 Force.

The phone will also be modular, as we saw with the Moto Z2 Play. Moto is likely to launch new Moto Mods too. Rumours are also rife that the Moto X4 might make an appearance. It is apparently the first phone to come with Google’s Project-Fi compatibility.

What’s interesting is that Moto is yet to announce the regular Moto Z2. Rumours going round indicate the phone might sport a dual camera setup. In all probability, the company is reserving the best for the last.
