After a flurry of mid-range and budget phones , Nokia is finally ready with its flagship. The highly anticipated Nokia 8 now has an official release date. HMD Global today sent out media invites for the launch on August 16th. The invite reads, “HMD Global invites you to an exclusive gathering to unveil the next milestone for Nokia phones.” It’ll be a milestone indeed. A flagship-grade Nokia phone running pure, stock Android!

The Nokia 8 has been a big focus by the rumour mill with some information or the other coming out consistently. Thanks to the rumour mongers online, we have had a glimpse of how the phone looks as well as its hardware specifications.

It is rumoured the phone will sport a 5.3-inch Quad HD display housed in a full metal body. On the back will be 13-megapixel camera developed in tandem with Zeiss and the latest Qualcomm flagship processor powering it with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The rumoured specs is quite in line with other flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC U11, and the OnePlus 5.
