Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Redmi 4A in India at an event in New Delhi on March 20. The smartphone is expected to be the successor of the Xiaomi’s 3s Prime, with a bunch of cool features under the hood.

For starters, the device is expected to feature a 5-inch HD display sporting a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The device will also get 2.5D curved glass for added protection. The device will retain the metal-clad unibody design.

Coming to the hardware, the Redmi 4A is expected to be rocking Qualcomm’s latest budget smartphone processor - Snapdragon 425, paired with 2GB of RAM. The device is expected to pack 16GB of storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card.

Coming to the optics, the Redmi 4A is expected to feature a 13-megapixel shooter at the back, along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter at the front. The rear camera is capable of shooting full-HD videos at 30fps.

This is a 4G LTE smartphone with support for VoLTE. The device gets a hybrid SIM card tray, where the second SIM slot can be swapped for expandable storage. The device is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 skin on top. The device is expected to be powered by a 3120mAh battery

There are no hints for the pricing of the smartphone as of now, however, we can expect it to be on the lines of the Redmi 3s and the 3s Prime, not exceeding the Rs 10,000 threshold.
