HMD Global plans to make the Nokia 7 available in China from October 24 th , with the 4GB variant going on sale for RMB 2499 which is approximately around Rs. 24,500 and the 6GB variant selling for RMB 2,699 which comes out to approximately Rs. 26,500.

HMD recently launched the Nokia 8 in India for Rs. 36,999 which we quite liked. The 7 as the numbering also suggests could be the in-between phone, with Nokia 6 selling for Rs. 14,999. HMD Global is also rumoured to unveil two new phones later this year. They have been dubbed the Nokia 9 and Nokia 2. HMD Global has also made a dent in the feature phone market with the launch of the 3310. It has also launched a 3G enabled version of the phone.

Under HMD Global, the Nokia brand has been on a comeback streak. It was formulated out of the remnants of Microsoft’s mobile hardware division which was a derivative of Nokia’s smartphone division that the Redmond based company had acquired in 2013. As the Nokia brand tries to make a comeback, Ironically, Microsoft has announced that it is essentially not developing its Windows 10 mobile operating system anymore and has no plans to work on Windows mobile hardware.
