Niantic wants to make wizards out of everyone, similar to how it made Pokemon Masters out of kids. The augmented reality based startup that created ripples across the world with Pokemon Go has teamed up with Warner Bros for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, an AR-based real-time game where Potterheads can experience and interact with the wizarding world of J.K. Rowling.

Players will learn spells, explore the wizarding world to discover and fight magical beasts. One can also team up with others to take down more powerful beasts.

The game is still under development and details about it are scarce, but TechCrunch reports it will be possibly out by early 2018.

Niantic plans to leverage its platform along with exploring new technologies and gameplay mechanics. It also has plans of integrating audio to augmented reality, something that is still missing from most AR-based games.

The game could allow users to shout out spells to fight fantastic beasts.
